Out of Queensland’s Sunshine Coast comes Lazy Guns. For fans of The Dandy Warhols, Oasis, and Jet, this is the 2000s rock revival you’ve been waiting for...

Made up of two brothers and their father, the band was born out of the family's love of rock. Brothers Jack (vocals, guitar) and Ryan (drums) watched their dad Richard (guitar), play with Melbourne’s Shotsekter throughout their childhood. Inspired to pick up their own instruments, the family of musicians spent years rehearsing in their garage where they would accumulate noise complaints and angry letters from unimpressed neighbours. All the while, honing their craft of music layered with crunchy guitars, catchy lyrics, and pounding backline reminiscent of their favourite bands such as Green Day, Foo Fighters, and AC/DC.

Lazy Guns officially hit the scene in 2022 with the release of their debut single 'Runaway', an energetic rock track that brought a breath of excitement to the local Sunshine Coast music scene, especially with ABC radio presenter Alex Easton. The band would then shoot and score with their sophomore release, 'I Like It (When I'm with You)', finding them promising support across popular radio stations including Triple M, Rebel FM as well as a string of indie blogs.

2023 brought a new addition to the band being Bella (bass), who also lends her impressive graphic design skills for current cover artwork and merchandise. The ragtag family band would then go on to unleash attitude loaded singles 'In My Shadow' and 'Lonely' which opened up a darker, fiercer side to the Lazy Guns sound. Throughout the year, they continued to build their reputation as a high energy live rock band with support slots for big name artists including British India and Kingswood, alongside a performance at Caloundra Music Festival and their first headline gig at the Sunshine Coast's home of live music, Solbar.

In 2024, Lazy Guns announce their long awaited forthcoming album, Waste My Breath, will be hitting fans of rock music in April. The twelve track record takes the listener on a journey of headbanging and sing along songs that flow like rollercoaster of emotions. After years of perfecting their sound with audio engineer and producer Angus Woodhead at Glasshouse Studios, the band members are eager to finally release their album to the public.
